Vanilla first. The official-map tier counts are checked against the bundled vanilla mission definitions. The coloured maps are visual guides; a community server can replace its Central Economy files and change item eligibility.
South and east coast
Early-survival loot around the main fresh-spawn coastline and nearby settlements.
Eastern and central inland band
The first inland progression zone, with a broader mid-level loot pool.
Western and north-west inland
Higher progression territory, including many valuable inland and military locations.
Far north-west
The highest standard Chernarus tier, concentrated around the far north-west progression area.
A tier is an eligibility zone, not a guaranteed rarity score. In db/types.xml, an item's <value name="TierN"/> says which tier zones may spawn it. The building still needs matching usage/category rules and a valid loot point.
An item can list more than one tier. Its nominal and min are population targets for the economy; they do not mean “this many per tier”. Special values and areas, including contaminated or underground locations, can add different restrictions.
Server owners can override mission files, so use the selected server's active files when diagnosing a custom economy. Classnames and tier value names must remain exact.
Why there is no guessed overlay: Bohemia's custom-terrain system lets each PC map author define its own Central Economy tiers. The same map can also ship different mission variants. Wandering Bot will only publish an exact overlay after the matching map/mission reference or an author-provided tier map is reviewed.
